Even Coach Milo who was recently sacked has been settled – fed up CK Akonnor finally heads to CAS

Lawyer of the former Black Stars coach, Prosper Yaw Ntow ESQ has confirmed that they have exhausted all processes in Ghana to get compensation for CK Akonnor from the Ghana FA after he was sacked as the Black Stars coach but the money is still yet to be paid.

Speaking on Kessben TV’s Midfield Action with Sir Franko Naro, Lawyer Ntow revealed that no penny of the compensation estimated to be around $300,000 has been paid to the ex-coach of the Black Stars.

He reiterated that CK would have earlier resorted to the Court of Arbitration for Court but for the love he has for Ghana he had to wait but the wait is now over.

“His contract was terminated in September 2021 and per the arrangement in the contract, the FA, was supposed to pay his compensation within 30 days at once.

Unfortunately, up till now, no payment has been made. We held several meetings with them but still, there is no payment made and they’ve not said anything about it.

Milovan Rejevac who was recently sacked has been settled, CK Akonnor a former player, and a captain who served Ghana and coached the Black Stars as well has not been settled.

It was agreed in the contract that if any party frowns the contract the other party should go to CAS but due to the love CK had for Ghana he had been waiting but right now he’s fed up, we have to go to CAS.

They should not blame CK, it will be the doing of the FA and the sports ministry. By next week, we will officially go to CAS” Lawyer Ntow said.

The sports ministry was apparently owing the former Kotoko coach $700,000 as compensation; $300,000 for defamation and damages, $350,000 as unpaid salaries and $50,000 as a signing-on fee. Early this year 5 months of his outstanding salaries were reportedly cleared by the Sports ministry.
