“I believe the President will do the needful at the appropriate time”, he said.
The newly elected, NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua Justin Frimpong Kodua implored Ghanaians to remain calm and support President Akufo-Addo in the wake of pressure for a reshuffle.
“I’ve had discussions with the President about reshuffle and it came out clearly that President Nana Addo is not afraid of taking a decision on reshuffling if there is a compelling reason”, he uttered.
NEW INITIATIVES UNDER JUSTIN KODUA
Highlighting a number of digitisation initiatives ongoing at the NPP party Head Office, Mr. Kodua says he’s ready to digitize the party. “I have started in digitising the operations of the party”, he said.
He further stressed that his office has created what he called (Director of Research Department) to access the performance of government and aid other sensitive issues.
“We have also created Director of IT Office and this development is in line with the innovative plans of the ruling NPP government to succeed in winning the 2024 general elections and also to enhance accessibility and constant party interactions”, he said.
DANQUAH INSTITUTE FLOODING NPP EXECUTIVE FRONT
Reacting on accusations directed to Danquah Institute for high jacking the leadership of the New Patriotic Party, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong says the party is confident of winning the 2024 general elections despite the unfounded accusation by some big wigs of the party.
“NPP is confident of winning the 2024 polls following the successful appointment of officers into deputy national executive officer positions and directors of the party,” he said.
Former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Richard Ahiagbah was appointed as the new Director of Communications while Evans Nimako was maintained as Director of Research.
Speaking on the Executive director of the Danquah Institute (DI), Dr Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko and Haruna Mohammed having being appointed deputy general secretaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kodua said, “the decision was born out of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and it has absolutely nothing to do with the Founder of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere Darko”. I personally selected Dr. Tsiboe-Darko because of her competent and unprecedented abilities”
“Dr. Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko is very analytical, also looking at her Central Regional background I believe she’ll be of great help for the NPP heading towards a crucial election”, he said.
“Again, I proposed Haruna myself with the backing of the steering committee of the party. As hard-working Northerner. I’m very confident that he will also support the quest to break the 8 for the NPP”, he said.
PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO’S EUGENE ARHIN ENDORSEMENT
A senior lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has asked the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rein in the President for openly campaigning for the Director of Communications at the Presidency.
According to Prof. Gyampo, the President’s defiance of party laws is worrying and must be called to order immediately by the leadership of the party.
“Respectfully, Mr President, I cannot mince words. I think you are being lawless; I am sorry to put it bluntly. You were part of your Party’s National Executive Committee Meeting that approved the Party’s Code of Conduct. You are giving unfair advantage to Eugene Arhin, knowing very well that Parliamentary Primaries for the area hasn’t been held.
But Reacting to the comment, Justin Frimpong Kodua said, his office is open to welcome any petition against the comment by the President.
“In my own opinion, what President Akufo-Addo said has nothing to do with breaching of party conduct… we should all understand that nobody is above the law in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
GHANA’S CRAWLING ECONOMY
Touching on the development, Mr. Kodua said that he is confident that the economy will bounce back strongly from the ravages of the global economic situation.
Speaking on the recent economic challenges confronting the nation, he said
“With the solid implementation and policies pen out so far by President Akufo-Addo, I believe the country will survive”, he uttered.
