NUGS honours Ghana Gas CEO

The leadership of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Company, Dr. Ben K.D Asante, at the company’s headquarters, Gas House, in Accra.

The NUGS team was led by the President, Dennis Appiah-Ampofo.

In his speech, Master Appiah-Ampofo revealed that their visit is premised on the mutual relationship that has existed between NUGS and Ghana National Gas Company, especially under the leadership of Dr. Ben Asante.

“We’re so grateful for how you have received us and the support we have been enjoying all these years,” he noted.

As part of the visit, the Union presented some honours to the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, Dr. Ben Asante, who thanked the Union.

The student leaders took the opportunity to inform the gas company about its annual awards ceremony and would be seeking the company’s support in due course.

Dr. Ben Asante was awarded by the Union as the CEO of the Year and conferred with the prestigious Humanitarian Award of the Year for his immense support given the Union.

Dennis Appiah-Ampofo further stated that Ghana Gas’s efforts in supporting students even across the various student organizations is a clear indication why students voted for the CEO to be honoured with these awards.

“So many times you have provided leadership and huge support to the Union and many students,” he stated, “this is our own way of saying we are grateful.”

The Gas Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ben Asante, encouraged the Union’s leadership to serve with commitment and dedication to their constituents.
