Black Stars call up: You are not coming to add to the numbers – George Boateng tells local players (Video)

Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng has encouraged locally based Ghanaian players to give off their best at the Black Stars when invited.

The assistant has observed that most of the local players turn to feel timorous when invited to the senior national football team.

Speaking to the press, George Boateng noted that the local players are good enough to merit call-ups to the Black Stars and thus should put away fear and give off their best.

Coach Otto Addo has named 29 man squad to face Brazil and Nicaragua as part of Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming 2022 World Cup scheduled to be hosted in Qatar later this year.

Accra Hearts of Oak’s Daniel Afriyie Barnie is the only local player who earned a call up.
