Nduom’s PPP celebrates 10th anniversary
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) is celebrating its 10th anniversary since its formation in 2012.
The PPP is celebrating under the theme, “10 years of progressive focus to bring change in Ghana’s democratic governance – the way forward.”
All Regions of the party will hold various activities to commemorate the anniversary celebration, a statement by the party said.
The climax of the anniversary events will be held at Elmina (KEEA), Nana Kobina Gyan Square on 1st October, 2022 in the Central Region.
“The party is looking forward to bringing together all Progressive supporters from across the length and breadth of the country and our diasporan branches.
“The PPP received its provisional license in February, 2012 and substantive licence in March 2012 from the Electoral Commission of Ghana. Since then, the Party has participated in three consecutive elections.
“We have advocated for the amendments of key constitutional provisions affecting our governance system in Ghana such as, the election of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives; separation of Attorney General’s Department from the Minister of Justice; Free, Compulsory, Universal Basic Education with a goal of not leaving any Ghanaian child of school going age at home. Other policies include: Use of Government Purchasing Power to support Ghanaian businesses, Create Employment/job creation through industrialization using the rich natural resources of the country, Universal Health Care delivery focusing on preventable health care system, vigorous infrastructural development, effective and efficient pension scheme for the Ghanaian worker with a living wage to better their economic conditions, and many others will we offer Ghanaians when we are given the mandate to form a government.
