Bawumia should lead us in 2024 to clear the notion that NPP regard northerners as ‘gatemen’ – Atta Akyea (Video)
Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea reckons that the vice president Dr. Mahamdu Bawumia is the ideal candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party to Break the 8.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi, Atta Akye stressed that if the party is to go by the tradition of who came first, then it will be challenging for the party to break the 8.
Atta Akyea believes Dr. Bawumia has all that it takes to lead the party to break the 8 considering his recent years in governance and carving a good niche for himself in the political space.
The former works and housing minister noted that it would also be good for the party to clear the wrong perception about the party not giving northerners the opportunity to a figurehead.
He added that Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng should be running mate to Dr. Bawumia.
