ECG unleash military men on ‘stubborn’ Manya Krobo residents who resisted installation of prepaid meters (Video)
According to some residents of Nuaso, a suburb in the Manya Krobo district, the ECG officials brought military men along with them and brutally assaulted them.
Some of the residents of the township had apparently resisted the installation of the prepaid meters.
According to them, their only crime which resulted in the beatings was their refusal to accept the prepaid meters.
Meanwhile, the ECG who have however not denied that they took military men along say, some of the residents attempted to attack the ECG team by pouring hot water on them.
The military men had to intervene following the scene which reportedly brought about the alleged assault.
The installation exercise had to end abruptly after the incident.
