Akufo Addo should be bold and take a decision on Ofori Atta – Ing Francis Addai Nimo (Video)
A high-ranking member of the Ruling New Patriotic Party, Ing Francis Addai Nimo has said that the appointing and firing authority, president Akufo Addo to do the needful amid Ghana’s economic and financial crises.
The former Member of parliament of Mampong is afraid if tough decisions are not taken the depreciation of the Ghana cedi will worsen as Christmas approaches.
Reacting to a question about whether the finance minister, Ofori Atta should be sacked by the president, Ing Addai Nimo was emphatic to have responded in the affirmative.
Ing Addai speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi noted that the president should be bold enough and keep a proper check on the finance minister.
According to him, the president should have his eyes wide open and keep a constant check on the country’s inflows and outflows in weekly financial reports.
He added that favouritism and nepotism should not be entertained especially at the point where things are crumbling.
The NPP 2024 flagbearer hopefully reiterated that he has not given up on his ambition to contest for the flagbearership position of the party.
