Kotoko captain sidelined for Sudan trip after his request to get his contract terminated – Details (Video)
Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain, Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has been left out of the Kotoko team that travelled to Sudan for their pre-season game with AL-Hilal Kessben Sports has learned.
The defender apparently asked for his contract to be terminated by Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko were initially scheduled to travel to Turkey for their pre-season campaign but due to challenges in Visa acquisition, the club had to cancel the European training tour.
Sources within the club say Ganiyu who extended his contract for Kotoko for 2 years in last September wrote to the club for a move away.
Snippets information gathered indicates Ganiyu’s decision was informed by his quest to see an increment in his wage.
