Kotoko Burkinabe coach: They didn’t contact me, they should do what they want, fine – Malik Jabir (Video)

Former Asante Kotoko player and legend of the club, Malik Jabir reckons that the management of the club should have consulted him before appointing their new Bukinabe coach for the club, Seydou Zerbo.

Malik Jabir Jabir speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time sports said he would have provided much insight if he had been contacted before appointing the coach based on the fact that he’s coached in Burkina Faso before.

“They did not contact me. Nobody contacted me. I just heard one day that they were bringing a coach from Burkina and I kept quiet till today. I’m not saying anything, they should do what they want. If he succeeds we all clap our hands for him, if he does not succeed, no problem, we plan again” He said.

Coach Malik Jabir had a coaching stint with top Burkinabe side ASFA Yennega in 2007.

The 59-year-old trainer had been the coach of the Burkina Faso CHAN team. He’s coached Rail Club du Kadiogo, SONABEL, ASFA Yennenga and Union Sportive des Forces Armées.

He joins Asante Kotoko for a year with an option to extend for another year.
