Barekese: Angry youth storm palace, pelt stones at chiefs for selling lands (Video)
A group of irate youth invaded the palace of Barekese in Ashanti to protest against the selling of lands by some of the chiefs.
According to the irate youth, some of the council members at the chief palace have wrongly been selling lands to enrich themselves at the expense of the town.
One of the stones reportedly landed on the head of the Fotosanfohene resulting in a head injury.
The other council of elders run for their lives as the tension grew more intense from the angry youth.
The chief who was chairing the meeting while the angry youth stormed the palace and was quickly bundled by the palace guards into a small room.
