Club administrators who say the BetPawa sponsorship package is not good must be sacked – Oduro Sarfo

CEO of Berekum Chelsea and executive council member of the Ghana Football Association, Nana Oduro Sarfo cannot phantom why some premier league club administrators are going about speaking against the sponsorship package between the GFA and BetPawa.

The gaming company, betPawa is investing an amount of $6 million into the Ghana Premier League as headline sponsor for a period of three seasons.

According to the executive committee member of the Ghana Football Association, BetPawa will be investing 2 million dollars every season in Ghana football with $700,000 as a cash component annually to the football association.

Oduro Sarfo speaking with Sir Joe Laka on Midfield Action noted that $300,000 of the $2 million will be used to construct pitches at Prampram by Betpawa.

He noted that BetPawa will use $1 million dollars on publicity by promoting Ghana’s premier league through activations, radio and TV promos, matchday concerts etc.

Following the breakdown of the package to the premier league clubs, some of the premier league administrators have gone berserk expressing their dissatisfaction with the package.

Oduro Sarfo speaking on Kessben FM revealed that those club administrators who are saying the sponsorship package is not good were present in the meeting the GFA held with them but said nothing during the meeting.

“The club administrators who are saying the package is not good must be sacked. They sat in the meetings we held and they did not say anything about the package and later come and tell the world that the package is not good does not make sense. They must be sacked” Oduro Sarfo said.
