Government should stabilise the currency – GUTA President
The Ghana Union Traders Association president Joseph Obeng has called on the government to stabilize the depreciation of the Ghana cedi.
The Ghana cedi has been depreciating since the beginning of the year and it is now selling at 9.30 Ghana cedi per 1 US dollar.
Speaking with Kwame Appiah Kubi ‘Mr. Speaker on Maakye program, he stated that the country has resources and intellectuals who can come together and bring out a solution to better Ghana.
He said that the exports and imports of goods in the coming festive season will affect the cedi. Joseph Obeng noted that the economic crises should not be related to only Russia – Ukraine war. Still, we should seek the best out of leadership to come out of this crisis.
