Asuoyeboa Inner Roads: Contractor leaves work as residents, committee members clash with him (Video)
The contractor working on the Asuoyeboa inner roads had to abandon the particular site he was working on after a misunderstanding between some residents, the contractor, and some members of the unit committee of the area.
Kessben FM’s Ato Kwamina reporting from Asuoyeboa said some residents of the town had insisted the contractor demolishes some buildings and structures along the road which is being worked on.
Meanwhile, the contractor says he has not been given any money to compensate those who have their structures along the road therefore he would not demolish them.
The fury of some of the residents was borne out by the fact that the road lane width should be 4metres but due to building along the road, the road has been very small.
Some of the committee members in the area were reported to have filled the gutter hole dug with sand at the disagreement with the contractor.
Amid the confusion, the contractor packed his equipment and left the particular site, and moved ahead to continue at some other place.
