Vox Pop: He’s become too ‘Oboolo’, he should give chance to the young guys – Ghanaians react

Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan is not giving up on a potential return to the Black Stars.

In a recent interview with the BBC, Asamoah Gyan indicated he still harbours a dream of returning to Black and possibly taking revenge against Uruguay who denied Ghana a semi-final spot in the South Africa 2010 Worldcup.

“Anything can happen, it has happened before back in 1994 when Roger Milla came back from retirement to play in the World Cup.

But I haven’t retired yet, I haven’t announced my retirement, I have been out for almost two years now due to injuries and my body shutting down.

I just need to get my body back in shape, so I have started training of course and I’ll see how my body reacts to playing competitive football.

Talent-wise, everything is there already, so I just have to prepare physically and then we’ll see what happens.” Asamoah Gyan said.

Many Ghanaians have reacted after the interview with divided opinions.

While some have reckoned that Asamoah should be among the squad for inspirational factors, many have said that it should be game over for the former Sunderland forward at Black Stars.
