NPP-UK Branch Executives & Members Pays Courtesy Call On Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister

The branch Organiser Kwame Boateng led a delegation of
some Executives of the United Kingdom branch of New Patriotic Party (NPP) to paid a courtesy call on Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister & Mp for Mampong Constituency Hon Kwaku Ampratwum Sarpong

The call was part of preparations to celebrate the NPP’s 30 years of formation in the United Kingdom, which was the first branch of the party.

Hon Ampratwum is not only a former Secretary and Chairman of the branch but also a founding member of the branch which is also called the Premiere Branch.

The Executives, including Branch Organizer Mr. Kwame Boateng who led the delegation, Communication Director, kwaku Bimpeh and Thomas Oheneba Boakye,communication team member explained that their call on Hon Ampratwum who is a founding member of the NPP-UK was to learn more about the history of the branch and its contribution to the political tradition that has birthed many great politicians in Ghana.

Mentioning names like late J.H. Mensah,
Former President J.A. Kufuor and Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asabee), the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister recollected their selflessness and oneness of purpose in forming the United Progress Party International (UPP-I) which was later became New Patriotic Party- UK.

Hon Ampratwum got even more excited recounting his early days in politics when he was a student and some of the things he did with some of his colleagues like Asabee.

He advised members of the NPP UK to be United and always place the interest of the party ahead of any individual’s.

30th Anniversary
The anniversary is slated for 28th August & Several programs have been lined up by the branch to make the celebration a memorable one.

These include Organiser’s day which is on 27th August 2022.
