Mpasaaso traditional area outdoors new paramount Queen-mother (Photos)
The chiefs and people of Mpasaaso Traditional Area in the Ahafo Ano South-west Metropolis have successfully installed a new paramount queen-mother for the town.
The Queen Mother of Tepa Traditional Council was present at this big event and also represent the Chief of Tepa Traditional Council.
Known in her private life as Miss Gladys Darko, (Nana Konama Danpon III ) succeeded the late queen mother, Nana Konama Danpon II. Gladys Darko, now Nana Konama Danpon III has been acting as the paramount queen mother for the past four years until Monday, 1st August when she was officially installed as the paramount queen mother.
Speaking about qualifications, the Queen Mother revealed that she’s a trained nurse who has been in the health sector for several years and still working. Nana Konama Danpon III expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people for the opportunity to serve them and pledged to do her best for the wellbeing of the Mpasaaso Traditional Area.
She said her general outlook towards solving the challenges of the traditional area would be centred on women empowerment. She added that she will be delighted to see all women in her town achieve greater heights in life.
She wishes all women get themselves something doing in terms of work so that it will be of benefit to them in the future.
The Queen-mother said it would be impossible to achieve her vision without the support of her subjects and called on them to bury their differences and forge ahead in unity.
