S/R: Residents of Salaga Demonstrates Over Instability Power Supply Dumsor -East Gonja Municipal
Concern Youth and Arise Youth of Salaga have embarked on a peaceful demonstration over the frequent instability of Electricity power supply in Salaga and it’s environs in the east Gonja municipality.
Ibrahim Anyass Convener said, residents of Salaga have been facing inability power supply for more than Seven months now.
He added that, despite the fact that the supply of power has been erratic for more than seven months, electricity consumers in Salaga are grappling with increases in their billing from the power producers.
“We the youth and by the extension the people of Salaga are very peaceful and law abiding and because of this, NEDCO/VRA have taken the good people granted.”
And if no cogent action is taken to avert this degeneration of power supply, the good people of Salaga may be compelled to take drastic action against the power company-VRA.
The youth groups have given a fourteen working days ultimatum if no favorable action is being taken they will organize another Demonstration on the 1st October, 2022.
Chief Ibn Zakariah Wumbei, Municipal Coordinating Director received the petition on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Richard Broni who was out of town.
