I switched my looks to fit my new style of music – Kwame Yogot
Ghanaian Rapper, Kenneth Kyeremanteng, known in the music circles as Kwame Yogot, says he decided to switch looks to fit his new style of music.
In 2021, Kwame Yogot kept a gold-dyed beard as a trademark to market his brand and release his debut EP, “New King”. Fast forward to 2022, he switched that look with a ‘normal’ beard (not dyed). Shortly after introducing the new look, he dropped a new single, “Nobody”.
He commented on his current look, “I did that coloured beard to gain some attention for my EP and direction of an era. But I’ve exhausted that vogue. So I’m up with a new look that looks more ‘soft’ for the ladies instead of the ‘wild’ rapper looks I carried. I’ve been doing songs in the direction of the ladies now. So I need to present that look for them.”
He was on an interview on “Xpressive” with Jackie and Bliss King to promote his new single “Nobody” featuring King Maaga. The song is his debut cut for the year 2022. It was released this July with an accompanying official video.
Kwame Yogot shot into the limelight with two respective features from Yaa Pono and Kuami Eugene. His song with Kuami Eugene got him 2 nominations for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2022 in the categories “Best Hiplife Song of the Year” and “Best Collaboration of the Year”.
His debut EP, “New King”, was released in September 2021. He is signed to Sky Entertainment, a Ghanaian Record Label.
