Our squad today is better than the last season’s squad that got beaten 6-1 by WAC – Kobby Jones

Public Relations Officer for Hearts of Oak’s National Chapters Committee (NCC), Kobby Jones is confident Accra Hearts of Oak will perform better in the CAF confederation cup than their previous performance last season in the CAF champions league.

The Outspoken PRO speaking on Kessben TV with Joe Laka underscored that the current team is relatively better and in good shape than the squad that won the league last season.

Kobby Jones noted though some key players have left the squad, there are equally some good players today who are doing so well that gives him confidence that team will do better than the last season’s squad.

“Yes some players have left but we should know that before these players left, there were some very good players who were playing and they are still there.

All we have to do is to learn from what happened. It was not only about the players but the coach’s approach to the games in Africa, the arrangement by the management and some other important things which all matter. Our squad today is better than last season’s own and I’m very confident we are going to do well this time” Kobby Jones said.

Hearts of Oak secured a 1-0 home triumph over Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca in the first leg of the Caf Champions League clash and later got beaten 6-1 in Morroco by the North African club.
