What happened to all the plenty of sponsorships money by Nana Yaw Amonpsah – Prosper Ogum’s resignation, fan queries
The Kumasi Asante Kotoko management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah is highly praised for bringing more sponsors to Kumasi-based football.
In Ghana, Asante Kotoko is the football club with the most sponsor with about 10 entities that partner with the club.
Following the resignation of the head coach of the club, Prosper Ogum, there have been damming revelations about financial crises at the club which contributed mainly to the exit of Ogum.
A report in the local media suggests the coach has not been paid for 4 months since March 2022.
Players on the wishlist of the coach could not be signed due to the financial constraints at the club.
More of these reasons put together according to reports informed Prosper Ogum’s decision to quit.
A supporter of the club reacting to the resignation of the Prosper queried about the many sponsorships deals of the club to aid the team financially.
The worried fan sent a message on Kessben TV’s sports show, Midfield Action asking about the deals which were brought in to aid the club financially.
Hisense, Adonko Next Level Energy Drink, StarLife Assurance, CEEK, GOIL, CedarVite, Ticketlake, Zeepay, Access Bank, NLA are all sponsors of Asante Kotoko.
