Unqualified players in inter-SHS soccer games: Involve Ghanacard to curb canker – Franko Naro to GES

Senior sports pundit Frank Owusu Ansah has called on the organizers of the Ashanti regional inter-schools soccer competition to involve Ghanacard to curb the usage of unqualified players in the competition.

One of the most sought-after senior high school sporting competitions has always been marred by the usage of unqualified players.

The schools that are found to use these unqualified players are disqualified from the competition during the tick of events.

Franko Naro reckons by having the Ghanacard as one of the key requirements, it will be more difficult for the cheats to still persist.

Speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra time sports show with Kwame Mekke, Naro underscored that it will be prudent to involve the Ghanacard which has the biometric data of everyone in the requirement process of the competition.

This year’s edition of the competition was rocked with a number of disqualifications of some schools that used unqualified players.

OWASS and T.I AMASS have booked a place in the final of the Ashanti regional inter-schools competition which is set to be played on Friday, 15th July 2022.
