Joe Hendricks admonishes Ghanaian players over abuse of free night bundle for surfing social media (Video)

Former Asante Kotoko defender, Joseph Hendricks has advised Ghanaian footballers playing in Ghana’s premier league to desist from spending much of their time surfing the internet at night.

Speaking on Kessben TV, Joe stressed that as a footballer, it is imperative to have ample rest to remain in good conditioning for the contact sport.

He noted that during his time at Asante Kotoko when there were no social media platforms, all personal phones were seized with the exception of one phone which was meant for players to call their relatives when a need arise.

The former skipper underscored that one of the factors which have led to the diminishing standard of the Ghana premier league has to do with how the current generation of players misuse the small-time meant for them to rest.

Joe explained that there are three seasons in a footballer’s life, the off-season, pre-season and the football season itself.

He pointed out that as a footballer when you spend most of your time surfing on the internet at night, it will definitely lead to enervation.
