We are not going to consider Hearts of Oak to change it to GHALCA top 6, never – GHALCA(Video)
The leadership of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has refuted claims that they are considering making the GHALCA Top 4 a six-club competition.
Apparently, there have been calls to GHALCA to make the teams six in order for Accra Hearts of Oak who finished 6th in the 2021-22 Ghana premier to be among the competing clubs.
GHALCA however has not denied the calls made to make it a six-club competition but insists they are not going to alter the initial arrangement.
According to the body responsible for seeking the interests of all football clubs they had an agreement with the Ghana football association to play a four-club tournament but not six club tournament.
Accra Hearts of Oak who missed out on top of the recently ended Ghana premier league will represent Ghana in the CAF confederation cup after winning the MTN FA cup.
Calls to GHALCA to make the competition a six-club competition was to have Hearts use the competition to equip themselves as they prepare for the CAF confederation cup.
