Anas suffers another BLOW as RAG lifts ban on all referees fingered his Video
The Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) has lifted the ban on about 61 referees who were fingered in the Anas number 12 video, Kessben Sports has gathered.
It will be recalled in 2018, Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw aired a documentary that purported to expose corruption in Ghana football.
Some Ghanaian referees were captured taking monies offered by the investigative journalist.
Following the video expose, 53 of the referees were handed a 10-year ban with 8 being slapped with a life ban.
General secretary of RAG Alex Anim in a telephone interview with Oheneba Kwame Mikke on Kickoff said, during last year’s congress a plea was made to reverse the decision which was subjected to council from the legal team of the federation.
He noted that upon further observations they found that the referees have been remorseful which led to the consideration of the plea.
