Kessben shares inspirational story of how he quit teaching to start selling used fridges which birthed other businesses (Video)
Mr Stephen Boateng Esq widely known as Kessben has shared an exhilarating story of his humble beginning as a trained teacher who left the classroom to start a business of his own.
The astute entrepreneur who was recently called to the Ghana BAR attributed his success to the grace of the Almighty God coupled with self-discipline, hard work and perseverance.
Mr Kwabena Kesse as commonly referred to, speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben TV said he was a trained teacher who taught in the classroom for some time before venturing into business.
He divulged that after having a stint in the classroom for some time he had to eventually call it a quit after seeing some need which was ought to be provided therefore he went into importation of used fridges and other electrical appliances.
According to him at the time he started the business of importing these goods in the country, they were only three people who were doing such business of importing especially the used fridges.
Years on, many people joined the business of importation which led to finding other opportunities around.
With the experience he had with the importation business, he saw another need that he had to leverage on to begin service businesses.
After seeing the need, service businesses like the travel and tour company, and the financial institution were all birthed.
The Kessben Group now has about 11 business units under the conglomerate with an approximate number of 3,000 employees.
