No lands have been secured in some districts for the Agenda 111 project with few months left for Akufo Addo – Okofo Darteh worried

Member of Parliament for Jaman South Hon Okofo Darteh has asked the state about one of the top priorities of the NPP Government, the Agenda 111 project.

The Government project which is to ensure that 101 outstanding districts will be provided with hospitals in addition to 10 selected regionals has seen slow progress since it was commissioned last year.

The government noted that 67 of the hospitals under the ambitious Agenda 111 initiative will commence by the end of March 2022.

Following the rise in the COVID cases in Ghana in the last few weeks, concerns have been raised about the state of the work on the hospital project.

Hon Williams Okofo Darteh speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi expressed worry about the state of the project.

According to the lawmaker, in most of the districts where the hospitals are supposed to be built with few months left for the Akufo Addo-led government, lands have still not been secured for the projects to commence.
