Parents Storm Islamic High School After Tear Gas Was Fired at Their Wards by Police (Video)

Some parents of students of the Islamic High School had to rush to the campus of the school in Abrepo, Kumasi after the police allegedly opened tear gas at the students.

The parents of the students were demanding the release of their wards after the incident occurred on Monday morning.

Some of the students of the school apparently took to the streets to protest against frequent accidents in front of their school.

In the course of the protest by students, tear gas was allegedly fired at the students leading to over 30 students passing out.

The students were subsequently rushed to the nearest medical facilities where they were admitted.

Unfortunately for the parents, the authorities refused to let the disturbed parents access their children.

According to a police report by the Ashanti regional police command, calm has been restored with no death recorded as was early reported on social media.
