Distribution Begins At Lands Ministry With 500,000 Oil Palm Seedlings

The First track of 500,000 oil palm seedlings have arrived at the Ministry for distribution ahead of the Green Ghana Day event tomorrow June 10, 2022.

Some members of staff and the general public trooped in to take their seedlings.

Meanwhile the CEO of Richie Plantations, Mr. Richard Quansah has donated 420 packs of bottled water to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources ahead of the Green Ghana Day 2022 celebrations, slated for June 10th 2022.

Mr. Richard Quansah indicated that the generous gesture is to help refresh and hydrate the staff of the Ministry and all who will participate in the event.

Launched in 2021, the Green Ghana Day is earmarked for the planting of trees across the country. The first edition of the program saw over 7 million trees being planted, 85% of which turned out to be successful.

The second edition is set for June 10, 2022 with government targeting 20million seedlings.
