Dr. Smart Sarpong’s survey gives one-touch victory to Wontumi with a landslide margin against Coka – Details
In a survey conducted by Senior Research Fellow and Director of Research at the Kumasi Technical Institute, Dr. Smart Sarpong, Incumbent Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP, Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi will win the upcoming regional chairmanship election with over 57 percent.
He noted that the Incumbent Chairman Wontumi has a likelihood of getting an extra 9% on to the 57.2% he is expected to get per the survey.
Among Wontumi’s contestants, the survey says, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah aka Coka would come close with 36% of the votes with the chances of getting an extra 3.6% added if things go well for him.
The survey stressed that the remaining contestants will have a total of 6.2% of the valid votes cast.
According to him, the survey was conducted in the period between January 2022 to May 2022.
