It was lit on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action when a listener sent a question regarding why Cristiano Ronaldo is sometimes referred to as not the original Ronaldo.
The question led to another question about the greatness between the Brazilian Ronaldo Nazario and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
There is a school of thought who reckon the Cristiano Ronaldo has outlived the greatness of the Ronaldo Nazario considering the achievement of the Portuguese.
Kessben FM/TV sports pundits, Andy Kerm and Franko Naro had divergent views about the subject matter.
Frank Naro asserted that Cristiano Ronaldo has lived up to the billing of the greatness of his own thus very unfair to be described as not an original Ronaldo.
Naro noted that per the achievement of Cristiano Ronaldo, he could outlive the greatness of Ronaldo Nazario who did not win the UEFA champions league throughout his footballing career.
Andy Kerm however debated that trophies and achievement alone can’t measure the greatness of footballers stressing that Ronaldo Nazario will always be ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
