Military men bow to irate Trotro drivers in Atonsu following clash over relocation (Video)
The Atonsu Bus terminal has been completed since February 2022 but commercial drivers who ply the road have refused to relocate to the new bus terminal.
The drivers have complained that the road network that leads to the new bus terminal constructed by the authorities is in a deplorable condition and they are not ready to risk their vehicles plying the route.
On Wednesday 18th May 2022, a number of military men and police were deployed by the authorities to the place where the Trotro driver have been stationed.
The presence of the security triggered the drivers as they went fiery in demonstrating against the authorities’ move to relocate them.
The military men and the police who were at the scene acted very maturely before the highly infuriated drivers. According to eyewitness reports, any action by the military could have triggered a mess.
