Take Afriyie Barnieh to the Worldcup, He’s better than Benjamin Tetteh & some of these so-called Ghanaians born abroad – Sarfo Gyamfi

Former Ghana Black Stars and Asante Kotoko footballer Sarfo Gyamfi has called for the inclusion of Accra Hearts of Oak forward in the Black Stars team.

Sarfo Gyamfi reckons the handlers of the Black Stars haven’t been fair enough to the workaholic attacker with how he’s been neglected in the Black Stars team in spite of his hard work.

On the Friday edition of Kessben TV’s Questions and Answers on Midfield Action, a question asked by a listener about Barnie’s snub by the handlers of the team brought divergent views on the show, Sarfo Gyamfi who was later raised on the telephone stressed that Barnieh is better than most of these Ghanaians born abroad and deserves a call up in the Black Stars team.

“They picked Philemon Baffour and Fatawu Issahaku from the Under-20 team but left Afriyie Barnieh. He is the top marksman in the Hearts of Oak attack. Why has he been overlooked?

“He (Barnieh) is one of the best strikers in Ghana football because he is a struggler, who fights for balls in attack. Are we saying a player is only good when he plays abroad? Benjamin Tetteh is not better than Afriyie Barnieh.” He Told Joe Laka.
