E- Ticketing Has Come To Replace Printing of Fake Tickets – Youth & Sports Minister
The minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Yussif has announced that all government stadia will henceforth use the digital ticketing process during games at the various venues. He made this statement when he hosted the Press at Ministry of Information in Accra to give account of his ministry. The minister told the Press that during the match between the Black Stars and the Nigerian counterparts, the process proved efficient and reliable so government has decided to use it during the African games period. According to him as a result of the digital method in that match, all the tickets sold recorded accurately and it went very fast. “We could trace the sales at the comfort of our office and within few hours the whole tickets were sold. Certainly this is a good sales process we cannot do away with and it has come to stay” he emphasized. Hon Mustapha intimated that this process will definitely wean the country of the usual ticket manipulation and curruption. The minister also mentioned that so far 90 astroturffs at various places of the country while 30 others are under construction to promote local and district juvenile soccer. In this respect juvenile soccer can flourish in our districts and countryside. There is going to be under 13,15 and 17 for the various categories in our JSS and SHS schools will constitute the Juvenile soccer academy on competitive basis like the colts fiesta. He disclosed that Ghana will participate in the under 17 Black Starlets under 20 Black Satellites , and under 23 Black Meteors , they are all going to be groomed to take part in international tournaments Ghana may qualify.
He used the occasion to wish the Black Starlets match at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday the best of luck . The minister congratulated Hasaccas Ladies for winning the WAFU Zone competition and urged the Black Maidens to train hard to soar higher at the the world cup tournament. He further wished the Black Stars well for qualifying for the 2022 world cup tournament. He announced that plans are far advanced to hire the technical team that helped the Black Stars to qualify for the world cup to handle the team in the world cup matches and Africa Cup of Nations.
He announced that the team’s engagement will be made known in two weeks time to let them start work soon . And in this regard,coach Otoo Addo and his team will soon come to Ghana to finalize the deal.
