Alisa Hotels puts smiles on the face of patients at 37 Military Hospital
Alisa Hotels as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has donated assorted items to the Trauma Ward of the 37 Military Hospital at a ceremony in Accra.
The items include bales of bed sheets and pillow cases, bundles of towels, boxes of toiletries, detergents, sanitizers, bleaches, washing powders among others.
Presenting the items, the Group Sales and Marketing Manager, Madam Esperanza Adjei said the gesture forms part of the corporate values of the Alisa Hotels Group.
She said the donation will meet some basic needs of patients and will also enhance the healthcare delivery of the hospital, adding that it will bring relief to patients as well as staff and management of the hospital.
According to her, Alisa Hotels Group will partner other health institutions to enable them experience the goodwill of its hospitality projects in the bid to spread its compassion to the needy, vulnerable and the disadvantaged in the society.
The Group Sales and Marketing Manager therefore called on corporate bodies and other benevolent societies to come to the aid of the hospital and also identify some wards for adoption.
Receiving the items, the Chief Nursing Officer of 37 Military Hospital, Col Francisca Aba Amakyi expressed her profound gratitude to the staff and management of Alisa Hotels Group for the donation.
According to her, the gesture was timely and explained that the items are daily used by patients and again thanked the hotel for the kind support saying it will be used for the intended purpose and added that, the donation will open a new chapter and forge closer ties between the two institutions and urged other bodies to emulate the shining example of Alisa Hotels Group.
In a related development, management and staff of both institutions embarked on a tour of the trauma ward shortly after the donation to engage patients on their health conditions and motivate them also with messages of spirit recovery.
