If you have GHC50,000 to pay informants, pay the clubs well to stop betting – Kudjoe Fiano to GFA

The chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Kudjoe Fiano has reacted to the Ghana Football Association’s move to reward persons with leads to the match-fixing allegation in the Ghana premier and the division one league.

The executive committee of the Ghana football have agreed to reward GHC50,000 anyone with evidential lead to nabbing people involved in match-fixing in Ghana.

Kudjoe Fiano reacting to the FA’s new move to deal with the alleged match-fixing, especially in the Ghana premier league said the move by the FA is not a proper way of handling alleged match-fixing claims.

The GHALCA chairman speaking on Kessben TV with Oheneba Kwame Mikke calculated that if there are 20 informants it means the FA will have to cough out 1 million Ghana cedis which he reckons if given to the clubs, will make them stop the alleged match-fixing and betting.
