Govt agrees to pay neutrality allowance to (CLOGSAG) but fair wages and salaries commission says they are not aware (Video)

The Chief Executive officer of the Fair wages and salaries commission, Mr. Ben Arthur says his outfit has not received any letter in line with payment of neutrality allowances to members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG).

Head of Local Government Services, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur early this week told the media that Government has agreed to pay the allowances which CLOSSAG is demanding, but will be paid in the 4th quarter of 2022.

Meanwhile, a Government institution, the Fair Wages and Salaries commission — directly in charge of the salaries of public workers says they are yet to be engaged about the money CLOGSAG is demanding for.

Ben Arthur, speaking in an interview with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Kessben Maakye (Kessben TV) said it is premature to conclude that the neutrality allowance would be paid to the Civil and Local Government Staff.

Despite the assurance by the Government to pay the neutrality allowance, the CEO stressed that his outfit is even yet to be engaged on the matter.

Members of CLOGSAG have been on an indefinite strike since Thursday, April 21 over the nonpayment of the neutrality allowance.
