A stupid comment by Alhaji Akambe disintegrated Hearts of Oak – Former BoD member Dr Osei Sampane goes deep
Former BoD member of Accra Hearts of Oak Dr Osei Sampane says his love for Accra Hearts of Oak is still intact despite some stupid comment a Hearts BoD member made years ago.
According to the experienced football administrator, such a comment by a man worth his salt only decrepit the football club he claims to cherish.
Dr Osei Sampene speaking with Joe Laka on Midfield Action underscored that it was a stupid comment by Alhaji Akambe to have said if even all Accra Hearts of Oak supporters are sold the money cannot quantify the amount of shares Tobge Afede has in Accra Hearts of Oak.
He noted that Alhaji Akambe’s stupid comment nearly killed his love and passion to do more for the club.
According to him such comments by an elderly person like Akambe only take the club back.
Dr Sampene added he personally told Alhaji Akambe that his comment about the supporters of the club was very stupid and should apologize.
Dr Sampene served as a functional BoD member during the heydays of the Accra based football club dominating Ghana football and making waves in Africa in the early 2000s.
