Hon. Alan Kyerematen to Grace Katanga Alumni Launch On Easter Saturday
The Hon. Alan John Kyerematen will tomorrow 16th April 2022 grace the launch of the Ashanti regional branch of the Katanga Alumni. The event which has been curated to bring together the old students of the university Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the region as a forum for greater connection and networking for the progress of members as well as the welfare of present and future students of the hall.
Key on their agenda is job creation and financial independence and sustainability for the “fellows” as they are popularly referred to. It is therefore not a surprise that the one person at the forefront of the job creation agenda of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been invited as the guest of honour.
It is expected that the Hon. Alan Kyerematen will grace the occasion with his presence and share with the alumni group, the extensive agenda of the government for job creation through industrialization and the successes chopped thus far.
Hon. Alan Kyerematen is noted to have a wide range of experience as a lawyer, economist and expert in trade. His experience over the years has seen him occupy some diplomatic portfolios and encaged globally on trade and job creation. It therefore came as no surprise that upon winning power in 2016, the president, His Excellency, Nana Addo-Dankwah Akufo-Addo, appointed him to head the all-important Ministry of Trade and Industry to stimulate industrialization and growth of trade for job creation. Job creation being a top agenda of the government.
His results over the years has seen him being entrusted with the same ministry into the second term.
The hon. Alan Kyerematen is highly tipped as a potential successor to the current president going into the year 2024 due to his character and credibility and competence.
