Bunkpurugu Constituency: MP Shamelessly Lied, He drilled Only Six Boreholes-Lawyer Sulley Sambian
The New Patriotic Party in the North East Region has read with utter shock a statement made by the member of parliament for Bunkpurugu constituency of the North East region, Hon. Abednego Bandim to the effect that he as an MP in less than two years has been able to drill more boreholes in the Bunkpurugu constituency than the Nana Addo/Bawumia government has done in the entire North East region.
The NDC Member of Parliament went further to state that, whereas he has been able to drill six boreholes within one year three months, the government can not boast of a single borehole in the entire Bunkpurugu constituency.
It must be underscored that the Bunkpurugu constituency has never, in its history, seen any massive intervention in the provision of portable water like it has witnessed within the past nine years of the reign of the former MP Hon. Solomon Boar and the Nana Addo/Bawumia government.
Lawyer Sulley Sambian Regional Secretary for the governing party wish to state categorically that the Hon. Abed Bandim, quite dishonorably told an outright lie. The former MP, Hon. Solomon Boar drilled over forty (40) boreholes in four years, from 2013 to 2016 even when his party was in opposition.
The former MP again, together with the government, drilled sixty (60) boreholes from 2017 to date. I invite readers to come with me as I take you through the work of the current government as far as the provision of portable water in the Bunkpurugu constituency is concerned.

From the table above, the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has drilled sixty (60) boreholes (both mechanized and hand pump) for various communities and institutions in the Bunkpurugu constituency.
The story is the same, and in some cases, even better in the other constituencies in the North East region. And so, for a whole Hon. MP to have peddled such an untruth, one can only conclude that he was either careless or he had no regard for the truth or he was simply carried away by the cheers from his audience.
Hon. Bandim, and by extension the NDC can claim the current government hasn’t performed well as far as the provision of water is concerned in some parts of the country, but certainly not in the North East Region.
North-East NPP Regional Secretary, concluded by admonishing the NDC as a whole from the north to restrategize and target the vice president H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with a different campaign message in the North East Region as this feeble shot at him, pathetically lame as it is, will not fly.
