Black Sherif’s former manager drags him to court; Seeks to stop him from performing…

Snap Chavis Wayne, the former financier of Black Sherrif, has sued the fast-rising musician for an alleged breach of contract at an Accra High Court.

Shadrach Agyei Owusu, popularly known as Snap Chavis Wayne, is the plaintiff in an application filed against Mohammed Ismail Sharif, popularly known as Black Sherif, on Monday, April 11, 2022.

Below are the reliefs listed in the wright of injunction site online

  • I An order of injunction to restrain the Defendant/Respondent, his agents, assigns, workmen and associates from performing at events or entering into agreements to perform at events or otherwise exploit his music and image without recourse to the Plaintiff/Applicant.
  • ii An order for the preservation of all funds that has accrued to Defendant/Respondent from online streaming platforms and other revenue sources. 
  • iii An order for the appointment of a Receiver to receive any and all funds that may accrue to the Defendant /Respondent from the use and exploitation of his music and image.
  • iv Any further Order that this Court may deem fit

Until the final determination of the matters in dispute and on grounds contained in the supporting affidavit

“Please take notice that this Honorable Court will be moved on this (9th) day of May 2022 at 9:00 am in the forenoon or so soon thereafter as Counsel for the Plaintiff/Applicant may be heard praying this Honourable Court for the following reliefs.”Snap has accused the ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ hitmaker of going behind his back to sign a record deal with another label, Empire Entertainment.
This allegation was first made by one DJ Slim, who alleged that the artiste had abandoned a 7-bedroom house, a car and other personal items his manager made available to him for his personal use.
