30-year-old married man commits suicide after MoMo fraudsters Pilfered GHC 20K on his phone
A 30-year-old Muslim man had to take his own life days after he was robbed of GHC 20,000 on his mobile-money phone in the Bono East region.
An eyewitness who spoke on Kessben TV’s Breaking News with Nyakoh Abronomah said the 30-year-old man identified as Ahmed committed suicide in his bedroom with a sponge.
The late Ahmed had a cold store with her wife they usually run an informal shift at the store. On the said the day when Ahmed hanged himself, his wife was at the store working.
The eyewitness narrated that the wife sent someone to go to their house and call her husband to come to the store while she leaves for the home only to be communicated back that her husband had committed suicide.
Ahmed did not leave any note before killing himself but it is believed he committed suicide because of the money he had lost through the Mobile money fraudsters days ago.
