They wanted to hold me hostage – Akim Oda MP speaks after irate NPP members besieged his house (Video)
The Honourable member of parliament for Akim Oda, Hon. Kwasi Acquah says, the irate NPP party members had wanted to only hold him hostage following the internal misunderstanding in the party.
Hon. Akwasi Acquah speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye rubbished claims in the local media that he had to scale a wall to run for his life.
The Member of parliament told Kwame Appiah Kubi that he had intelligence that the irate party folks will be storming his residence therefore left his house as early as 4:00 AM.
Most of the party folks are aggrieved as to why their coordinator’s elections have still not been held after the polling stations’ executive elections.
There is also heightening tension between the Member of parliament and the NPP chairman in the constituency.
Hon. Akwasi corroborated that there is bad blood between him and the chairman, He stressed that several attempts have been made to settle the difference but they are still yet to smoke a peace pipe.
