Akufo should have completely scrapped the fuel allowance for political appointees, some give the coupons to their girlfriends – Bishop J.Y Adu
Founder and leader of the New Jerusalem Chapel at Kumasi Sokoban Ampayoo in the Ashanti Region, Bishop Dr. John Yaw Adu has commended the Government for the 50% cut on fuel allowance for all political appointees.
Amidst the current economic hardship, the man of God reckons it would have been more comforting for the state if the Government had completely scrapped the fuel allowances for political appointees.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Amansan Tie with Akuoko Kwarteng, Bishop J.Y Adu divulged that some political appointees have been giving the fuel coupons to their family and friends including their girlfriends.
He stressed and admitted that he has even been a beneficiary of the fuel coupon before even though he is not a political appointee.
According to him, a friend of his who is a political appointee gave him the fuel coupon.
