The economy will be better off if Ghana qualifies for the World Cup – NDC MP calls on Ghanaians to support Black Stars

One of the few things that bring the people of Ghana together is obviously football especially when it got to do with the national teams.

In times when the national teams are playing, politics are put aside with the supreme interest of the nation’s flag put at height.

NDC Member of Parliament for Jaman South, Hon. William Okofo-Darteh has called on all and sundry to rally behind the Black Stars despite their political affiliations.

The member parliament speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwame Appiah Kubi pointed out that there is a huge prospect of economic growth if the Black Stars make it the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

Ghana hosted Nigeria in the first leg of the final play-off game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, 25th March 2022 which ended in a draw.

Nigeria host Ghana on Tuesday 29th March 2022 in Nigeria for the second leg game.
