Ghana vs Nigeria: They are better but it does not matter, with determination we will pull a shock – Issah Ahmed

Former Black Stars defender, Issah Ahmed is optimistic the Black Stars will beat Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 Qatar Worldcup.

The former Asante Kotoko defender speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time conceded the fact that Nigerians currently have a better team than Ghana but a determined Ghana team will emerge top especially when the first leg is going to be played in Kumasi.

He stressed that in booking a qualification in such two-legged games, the first leg of the game is very important. He noted that over 50% of the job needs to be done in the first leg of the game in Kumasi to ensure qualification.

The Ghana vs Nigeria playoff game was originally booked to take place in the Cape Coast stadium but the venue had to be changed to Kumasi due to the bad nature of the Cape Coast pitch.

The first leg game of the game takes place in Kumasi on 25th March 2022 with the second leg scheduled on Tuesday 29th March 2022 in Nigeria.
