Sekyere East: Some residents have been stealing the chippings meant for road construction – Contractor bemoaned
A contractor working on a road in Afigya Asokore, Sekyre East has bemoaned over how some residents in the community have been stealing the chippings stones meant for the road construction.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News, the contractor noted that they have only done the first coat of the asphalting and was giving some time to roll over the second coat but some residents in the area made away with the rest of the chippings meant for the road construction.
According to him, due to the loot, the project which ought to have been completed by now is still nowhere near completion.
The road contractor was dumbfounded as to why some people would go to the extent of stealing the chippings.
He indicated that some other building materials have also gone missing which he suspects the chippings stealers.
