The requirements needed to pass Baba Yara Stadium, CAF match coordinator Fred Achie gives breakdown (Video)
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) granted a one-match approval for Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to host the World Cup Qatar 2022 playoff match between Ghana and Nigeria.
What this means is that the Baba Yara sports stadium has been approved for only the Ghana vs Nigeria game — meaning that the stadium does not meet CAF standards.
CAF spelt out some requirements to be met before the game on 25th March 2022 or face sanctions.
The Baba Yara stadium which took almost 1 and half years to be renovated could not meet the requirements by CAF after a team from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspected the Baba Yara stadium ahead of the Ghana vs Nigeria game.
Kessben FM’s and CAF match coordinator, Frederick Acheampong has been throwing more light on the requirements by CAF for stadiums to pass for CAF games.
