GEORGE KROBEA Asante Writes :Development At Fomena, A Wake-Up Call For Change In Party’s Leadership

Fellow Patriots,

News of the unpalatable development in the polling station elections in several constituencies, accompanied by videos on viral confirms the fears of many party faithfuls about the future of our party.

Regardless of the obvious root causes, such acts particularly the one in Fomena where the NPP Party Office has been painted with NDC colours have no place in a well-structured institution. Accordingly, they are herein strongly condemned.

As those chaotic conducts are censured, it is equally legitimate to ask questions about the posture of authorities in the wake of the disturbance.

Could no intelligence be gathered about the potential uproar in Fomena; particularly where there is an independent MP there?

Could the Fomena elections not be suspended to allow for a compromise in order to safeguard the party’s image?

Under the current administration, it is clear that the party is not getting ready to effect the “Break The 8 Agenda.” There must be a change if we think otherwise.

We cannot as a party continue to do the same things and expect different results. A Party without a register of its members; a party without identity cards for its members; a party without means of collecting dues from its members; yet we want to achieve a smooth electoral process.

Indeed, the NPP, our beloved party, needs a new direction and new leadership.
