The member of parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has reacted after the supreme court ruling that a deputy Speaker of Parliament can be counted during the formation of a quorum for parliamentary decision-making and participation in voting.
According to the MP and the minority leader(NDC), the supreme court’s ruling is indicative of the fact that they want to assist the Government pass the infamous E-levy.
Speaking in a brief press conference after the ruling, the minority noted that they are waiting for the full ruling from the court before they take any move.
He stressed that the supreme court’s ruling is distorted which amounts to interference.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu is stunned as to why a referee can turn a player to score against a team he is officiating their match.
